Shraddha Kapoor's 'Eetha' Release Postponed to December, Avoids Clash With Yash's 'Toxic'

Mumbai: Shraddha Kapoor's upcoming film Eetha, originally scheduled for August 28, will now release on December 4, according to an announcement from production house Maddock Films, sidestepping a box office clash with Yash's Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, set for August 26.

Directed by Laxman Utekar, Eetha is based on the life of Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar, a celebrated figure in Maharashtra's Lavani and Tamasha folk theatre tradition, with Shraddha Kapoor playing the title role alongside Randeep Hooda and Anant Joshi.

The makers have not officially disclosed the reason for the date change. With the shift, Eetha will now compete for audiences with Prabhas's Fauzi, releasing December 3, and an untitled Akshay Kumar–Vidya Balan film also slated for December 4.
